Therapy for PMOS

Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) is an umbrella term used to describe a collection of metabolic and reproductive symptoms, that 1 in 10 women will experience throughout their lives. Researchers have accurately coined the syndrome as “the thief of womanhood”.

Many of the biological symptoms women with Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome experience come with a significant emotional toll.

A mental health professional can help you reframe the way you relate to your symptoms, body, food, and womanhood.

While there is currently no cure for PMOS, I believe there are root causes to chronic illnesses that require more than medication for treatment; they require changing how we live our lives.  If wellbeing and good health are values we wish to embody, they can only ever be reflected through our consistent health-related behaviors. Working with a mental health professional to integrate these changes can significantly alleviate symptoms and improve your overall sense of well-being.
